Senior Transportation Driver

Job Opening:               Senior Transportation Driver Position Type:             Part-Time “On-Call” Start Date:                  Immediately Salary Range:              Starting $14.13 per hour                                       Starting $23.00 per hour (Class C CDL Driver’s License) Qualified applicant will be responsible for transport of seniors as needed to carry-out senior transportation needs; transports seniors and individuals with disabilities to medical appointments and deliver meals on wheels to shut in residents. Driver will submit daily mileage reports. Driver apprises supervisor of repairs needed on any of senior transportation vehicles. Driver will use a cellular phone to transmit communications related to emergency call situations. Must possess a valid State of NJ Driver’s License in good standing with passenger endorsement, knowledge of the proper methods of operating a vehicle; knowledge of highway safety principles and state and municipal laws; ability to make periodic safety check of the vehicle being operated; knowledge of common indications of their malfunctions and proper method of preventative maintenance.
