To ensure your child's safety, Helmets are mandatory for all participants including Chaperones.

The buses will depart from

Mt Olive High School, Corey Rd , Flanders

at 4:30pm

Please park to drop off.

After an evening of open skiing, skiers will report back to their assigned bus by 10 p.m. to depart Shawnee Mountain Ski Area.

The buses will return to

Mt Olive High School, Corey Rd , Flanders

at 11:00 p.m.

Parents, please be prompt for pickup.

In case of adverse weather conditions & possible postponement:
listen to WRNJ Radio (FM 1510) on FRIDAY afternoon. In addition, an announcement will be made at school or you may call a recorded message at (973) 691-0900 x 7262 on FRIDAY after 12:00 noon to hear of a postponement.
The Recreation Department will reschedule canceled trips; although, the make-up date may not be on a Friday.

Ski/Snowboard Lift only $365

Ski/Snowboard Lift & Rental $410

Ski/Snowboard Lift & 5 Lessons $405

Bus Only $180 per person

Bus Pass Only **For 5th - 9th graders with their own season pass/equipment

Deadline for registration is Nov. 15th -$25 late fee will apply starting Nov. 16

No refunds after Dec.6

Member Absentee Vouchers Absentee vouchers are issued to members who have missed a scheduled club trip; this includes your bonus (6th) trip.  One (1) voucher is issued per member.NOTE:  The maximum # of vouchers issued to a group will equal 1 per each paid skier/snowboarder.We begin to issue vouchers on your 2nd trip.  Vouchers are validated for a period similar to what your group normally skis/boards (i.e. Twilight, Midweek, etc.) and must be redeemed in our Group Sales office.  ID may be required.  Vouchers are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be upgraded.  This season, vouchers will expire on March, 2014.  Vouchers are used to obtain lift tickets and equipment.  A student’s personal lesson card must be presented at Group Sales to obtain a make-up lesson. 

 

Upon arrival at Shawnee Mountain, instructions for lessons and equipment rentals will be given. cartoon picture of a skiing penguin To stay warm, be sure to wear gloves/mittens, a hat, and dress in several layers. Ideally, non-cotton (i.e. polyester) may be worn as a first layer to wick water away from the skin. In addition, renters are advised to wear wide pants cuffs to fit over ski boots.Helmets will be mandatory for all participants

Shawnee Behavior Problems and dismissals

Behaviors that will constitute suspension from the ski program include: Use or signs of use, of tobacco, alcohol, drugs; abusive or disruptive language; abusive or disruptive actions, violence - verbal or physical, disobedience of chaperone or Shawnee representative before, during, or after any trip.

Coach Bus departs Mt. Olive High School at 3:10 pm and returns by 11pm

Participants may bring their equipment to school the morning of the trips.

No rental packages available, participants responsible to rent or bring their own equipment.

 

Ski/Snowboard Program
Bus & lift ticket for 5 trips   $315

Ski/Snowboard Bus/Value Season Pass $399

Value Season Pass Includes unlimited skiing/riding Monday – Friday open – close & Saturdays/Sundays after 3pm. No blackout dates.

 


The Terrain Park Pass will be $5 this year. After October 2, skier/riders can visit our website, www.skicamelback.com to view the required Smart Style video, complete the required quiz and print out the required Park Pass Release Form. Parents of minors under the age of 18 must sign the Release Form.
