Discovery Kids Puterbugs features your child as the main character in an exciting world that uses technology to capture their attention and teach important skills. These vital skills are taught in a way that is both fun and highly engaging to keep your child’s interest.

Technology is changing our world. Today, children have amazing natural abilities on computers. Parents want to be sure those abilities are used in the most productive, beneficial way. Discovery Kids Puterbugs satisfies the child's fascination with technology, while also satisfying the parent's desire for their children to use it as a tool, not just a toy!

Throughout the software, a live-action teacher guides children to confidently navigate through self-adjusting activities that adapt to each child's individual level. Children learn tools and basic navigation (from typing to swiping), communications (email, texting, web conferencing), learning and safety (search engines, Internet safety, tech etiquette), and adaptation (learning to apply these skills as technology rapidly changes).

Petite Equestrian Program

The PEP (one week Petite Equestrian Program) for children ages 3 to 6

August 13-17
Flanders Park soccer parking lot
3-4pm
Cost:$200

Participants will learn safety on and around the ponies, grooming techniques, basic riding skills, and other primary horsemanship skills. While this is not a Horseback Riding lesson per say, the program includes an exciting riding component whereas each child will get to ride about 20 minutes and learn how to properly mount, dismount, hold the reins and control the horse/pony at the walk and a few steps of trot. Sessions aim to help develop confidence and motor-coordination skills while providing a supportive, fun, non-threatening environment for the participants as well as social interaction among them. This is a participatory program for parents who so desire so one may be asked to occasionally lend a hand. The perfect preparation for private or semi-private lessons for eager young aspiring Equestrians!.

Some of the horsemanship matters covered may include: Safety on and around horses, Basic Anatomy, Equine Senses & Body Language, Grooming, The Tack and Harness, Driving the Miniature Horse, English and Western styles, Barn Management and Careers in the Industry. Participants also get to ride or drive their charges for about 20 minutes during each Session.
