Mount Olive Township Budd Lake Municipal
Beach
Budd Lake Beach opens Saturday, June 18, 2011. Sun and fun are only a few months away!
This year, every patron to the beach will need to pay for admission, to cover the costs of operating the beach. Budd Lake Beach needs to be self sustaining, since it is not supported by tax dollars.
Daily admission will be $5 per person (Infants under 1 years old are free) or 2011 season beach tags can be purchased at the Mt. Olive Recreation Department. Beach tags that are purchased before May 31st have a 50% discount for residents. Proof of residency is required for the resident discount. Adult (ages 14+) beach tags are only $25 and Child (ages 1-13) beach tags are $20.00 before May 31st . Proof of age for Child beach tags is required.
Non-residents can take advantage of a 20% discount for their beach tags purchased prior to May 31st .
As of Jan. 1, 2011 online registration will no longer accept Visa payments.
Discover and Mastercard will be the only accepted credit cards.

Rules and Regulations
Personal conduct on the beach must ensure
the safety of yourself
and others!
Parents are responsible for their children
at all times.
(Due to lack of shelter, NO MINORS, under 18, may be left
unattended)
Beach and swim areas are open only when
the lifeguard is on duty.
Swim only in specified areas.
Non-swimmers must stay in shallow end.
Dispose of Trash properly, including recyclables.
No food or drink is allowed in the water.
Uncontrolled beach toys may be confiscated.
Minors must pass a deep end test prior to
playing unaccompanied in the deep end without an adult.
(Deep End Tests will be offered daily at: 12:15, 2:15, 3:15,
5:15 - at lifeguard's discretion)
Parents can take one child at a time into
the deep end, but must stay in arms length of the child
at all times.

Rentals are on the half hour from 12:30-5:00
PM and include:
5 minutes instruction, approx. 20 minutes
water time,
and 5 minutes to return equipment

1 person child Side Wheelers - $2.00
1 person adult Side Wheelers - $2.00
Water Walkers - $2.00
ALL Boaters Must:
Attend 5 minutes of instruction
AND Wear Fastened Lifejackets in order to enjoy the water!

Boating
Rules
All patrons MUST wear a lifejacket when
using boats.
For Pedal Boats, all children under the
age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
No swimming in the boating area.
Boating in designated areas only.
All hand, feet, and objects must stay in
the boat at all times.
Patrons must remain seated at all times.
No rocking, tipping or otherwise operating
the boat in an unsafe manner.
Boats shall land at the boathouse shore
only. Landing boats at any other area is strictly prohibited.
Patrons will be required to return the boats
when summoned by the staff.
Patrons are required to conform to limits
on the number of occupants and weight load per boat.
Food or drink is prohibited on any boat.
Any patron destroying municipal property
will be directed to leave and be liable for damages.
Thunderstorm
Policy
According to NJ State Code
At the FIRST sign of thunder or lightning, all patrons must
LEAVE the beach IMMEDIATELY. Seek safe shelter either in
your car or the building. We will reopen 15 minutes after the last
sign of the thunderstorm is over, when it is safe again.

Beach Badge required for participation in swim lessons.

You can tailor your party to meet YOUR needs.
FIRST choose a basic Beach Rental option: (Includes extra lifeguard staff, prep and clean-up)
1. During Regular Open Beach Hours - $30/hr for every 30 people
-OR-
2. Before or After hours (have the beach to yourself) - $65/hr for every 30 people
Add-On Options (to basic Beach Rental):
A. Beach Staff Coordinated Activities - ½ hour for $50 per 30 people (2 staff to run games, etc.)
B. Boats - $10/hr x # of boats (before & after hour parties ONLY!)
$30 non-refundable deposit due at time of reservation.
(deposit may be paid by Mastercard or Discover, balance by check /cash)
Party and Beach rental prices DO NOT include daily admission. Each guest will need to check in at the gate.
Participants will need to either have their own season beach tag, or pay for daily admission.
