Eagle Scouts Beautify Flanders Park

Thanks to the Mount Olive Eagle Scouts, Flanders Park has been enhanced with plants, trees and a new picnic area. The Eagle Scouts, under the supervision of Craig Pellet, generously contributed their time and expertise to plant flowers at the entranceway to the park and at the Cotter Memorial Playground sign. They also planted trees and constructed a 30'x30' picnic area with wood chips in another area of the park. The project was partially funded by the Flanders Park capital improvement budget. Mayor Licitra said he was very proud that the Eagle Scouts chose the Flanders Park for their beautification project. He is always supportive and offers encouragement to our local youth to get involved in our community.
