Mt. Olive Township Hosts 4th Graders from Sandshore & Mountain View Schools

It's not often that a fourth grader gets to play council person, or see the jail cells in the Township municipal building. On Thursday, October 24 & Friday, October 25, 4th graders from Sandshore School and Mountain View School toured Town Hall and learned about local government. They visited with Cindy Spencer, the Business Administrator and toured the Police Department with Officer Scott VanNess, which is one of their favorite parts of the school trip. The students were able to participate in a "mock" council meeting and vote on a "real" township issue.
